The 9th Annual Le Feu et L'Eau (Fire & Water) Festival

The Fire and Water Rural Arts Celebration is a one day event that showcases creative talent produced primarily in Acadiana. Born following the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Fire and Water featured signature floating fires and the work of visual artists with only a sampling of other artistic disciplines; however, over the last several years the event has expanded to become more of a celebration featuring a multitude of artists, performers and cultural workers in a variety of disciplines and genres. Watch cooking demos and feature films, hear live music, listen to poetry and shop local art vendors. Unique French Louisiana celebration. This year's ceremonial fire lighting includes "Fire Dance" performance.

The 9th Annual Le Feu et L'Eau (Fire & Water) Festival will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., at NuNu's, located at 1510 Bayou Courtableau Road, in Arnaudville. All activities are free and open to the public. More information can be found at fireandwaterfestival.org and NuNuCollective.org.
