Lafayette Christian Academy's Kierany Shelvin has been nominated to represent the state at the 2014 Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington, D.C.

The Congress is an academic honors program, and all attendees are selected based on proven academic excellence and a demonstrated desire to enter the medical  profession. All students must meet a minimum 3.5 GPA (or equivalent) to be nominated.

Shelvin has a 4.0 and is the president of BETA Club at LCA. She is a spiritual student who tutors others at her home.
