Bread & Circus Provisions gets ready to open its new location at 258 Bendel Road in the former Kajun Korner space

Bread & Circus Provisions is a regular at the weekly Farmers & Artisan Market at the Horse Farm and has become one of the market's most popular vendors. Owners Manny Augello and Abi Broussard Falgout's booth is a hot spot for good reason, selling products like pickles, Bloody Mary mix and homemade marshmallow fluff. Bread & Circus has also hosted a series of pop-up-shop dining events during ArtWalk and Bach Lunch downtown where customers were served small plates of creations ranging from porchetta and onion jam sandwiches and mini pumpkin spice donuts to french onion grilled cheese.

Bread & Circus' back to basics approach to food has clearly taken off, and with the help of funding through a Kickstarter campaign, the business is ramping up to open the doors of its new location at 258 Bendel Road where the business will take over the former Kajun Korner space near Edie's Express. "We will be opening the retail portion in a couple of weeks. In February, we will be having a bunch of pop-ups and special events with reservation-only seating for Valentine's Day," says Falgout.

Lunch and limited dinner service will begin in March.

Augello and Falgout plan to continue vending at the weekly Horse Farm market. "We started this because we wanted to support the growth of a city-run farmers market. I can't see a day we won't be participating," Falgout says.
