Make a stand against slavery
Today there are more than 27 million people living in slavery. You read that correctly. Slavery. It's not a bygone travesty. It is alive and well and thriving, and today, Feb. 27, the END IT movement seeks to raise awareness through Shine a Light on Slavery Day.
So what can you do? Draw a red X on your hand and post it on social media and tag #ENDITMOVEMENT. While it's clearly a heavy subject, it's also the way to open a conversation with your children about the power of each of us to make a difference in the life of someone we've never met and the importance of standing up for those that don't have a voice.
