Around Town: Romacelli, Anytime Fitness commit to Couret Farms

Two additional tenants sign letters of intent for Phase I of lifestyle center.

North Lafayette's traditional neighborhood development Couret Farms has signed two commercial tenants for half of its commercial lifestyle center known as the Market Place at Couret Farms. Italian eatery Romacelli and health club Anytime Fitness are slated to open in late 2014 in Phase 1, which is about 14,000 square feet.

Two additional commercial spaces are available in the initial phase of the Market Place at Couret Farms. Cecil Little, who is handling leasing for the development, tells ABiz he already has two more letters of intent for those spots.

Located on 125 acres, Couret Farms is a residential and commercial development off of I-49 and I-10 near Pont des Mouton. Designed by Kevin Royston, who has a degree in architecture from UL Lafayette, the concept reflects similar communities designed and built by Southern Lifestyle Development, the group behind River Ranch in Lafayette, and Sugar Mill Pond, Sugar Ridge and Laurel Grove in Youngsville.
