Legal Matters: LBF names Neuner Distinguished Attorney

The Louisiana Bar Foundation has honored Lafayette attorney Frank Neuner Jr. with its 2013 Distinguished Attorney Award. The award, given to attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their careers and brought credit and honor to the legal profession, was presented in mid-April at the 28th Annual Fellows Gala at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

Neuner is a founder and managing partner of corporate defense firm NeunerPate.

He received a juris doctor in 1976 from LSU, and in 2008 was named the LSU Law School's Distinguished Alumnus. He has served as president of the Louisiana State Bar Association, chair of the Louisiana Public Defender Board and president of the Louisiana Client Assistance Foundation. He is a member of Louisiana, Texas and American bar associations, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Maritime Law Association of the U.S. and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He is also a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and serves as the ABA State Delegate for Louisiana.

Frank Neuner has been married to Tracy Owens Neuner for 42 years. They have four children and four grandchildren.
