Party Girl

Party Girl

by Jill Norman LeBlanc

Taking a break from my fast-paced life, I decided to join the agents from Van Eaton & Romero at the Townhouse Restaurant for a laid back evening for the company's Agents Appreciation Fish Fry. I don't think there's a better way to show your appreciation for your employees than an annual party, and many of you know Party Girl is always up for being appreciated ' especially for my good sense of style. But I have to hand it to Van Eaton & Romero for their stylish fete; more than 150 guests attended this summer gathering. Though the weather was a bit smoldering, anyone and everyone will attest that this was a wonderful evening of relaxing, visiting with fellow agents and eating great food on the New Orleans-style garden terrace.

Speaking of heat, the Hell and High Water exhibit opened recently. I was so anxious to check it out that I was one of the first to arrive at The Frame Shop & Gallery 912 to see the new art exhibit. The opening night brought many guests out of the woodwork and their air-conditioned homes, including the art lovers who not only browse but buy art as well. Perhaps some felt the same serene feeling I had after viewing the art work of Karin Eberhardt and being inspired by the creativity of artist Dennis Sipiorski. It made me jealous as I watched a patron purchase one of Karin Eberhardt's pieces ' one of my favorites ' "Idée Fixe." The exhibit runs through the month of August, so hurry in because words do the show little justice.
