Party in the Park till 6:30 p.m. today (Sunday) and support the effort to convert the 100-acre tract of Johnston Street land into a world-class public park. The fundraising festival is celebrating the unveiling of the park's master plan with music, food, family activities and arts and crafts booths, highlighting the versatility and beauty of the park.
Sunday's event is the kick-off of the general fundraising campaign. You can purchase tickets at the gate today for $20; children under 12 are free and UL students get a discount.
Unveiling of the master plan is at 2:30 p.m., emceed by IND Co-Publisher Cherry Fisher May.
