GILL: WE'RE JUST BOBBY'S SIDE GIG
MAY 30 Louisiana isn't getting her money's worth out of Bobby Jindal, columnist James Gill writes in this post. He's not doing the work he's getting paid for, because he's too busy dreaming about another job, Gill says. But that's the price we'll have to pay if the whole country is to benefit from his "superior gifts," Gill adds. Huh.

BROWN TO NOLA: QUIT YER WHININ'
MAY 30 Jim Brown is blogging about New Orlean's lost bid to host the Super Bowl during the year of the city's 300th birthday. NOLA may have gotten the last bid because of post-Katrina sympathy, but from now on a lot more will be required -- like a brand new stadium, Brown opines.
