Boudin goes viral

by Kari Walker

Short film on the popular Cajun creation explains the boom of the beloved diet staple

Ever wonder who has the best boudin around? The latest film produced by Randy Foreman for Munchies, an online digital food channel, goes behind the scenes with South Louisiana natives at a look inside the boudin industry and what makes the product craved by many.

The short film uncovers a quick history of how boudin moved into the commercial market and even hits on the economic impact of the city of Scott - the boudin capital of the world, in case you didn't know.

Might we suggest a stop Downtown at Johnson's Boucaniere for a link or two or maybe pop in at Billy's in Scott for a boudin ball - the pepper jack cheese will compliment a cup of coffee while you watch the film on an office break.

Catch the film here.
