YAY! WE'RE NUMBER 1! OH, WAIT...
JUN 12 For all those people who say Bobby Jindal isn't taking this state to the top, this blog post is for you. Tom Aswell is writing about a new report that ranks the states, and we've come out on top -- We're the most corrupt state in the union. This study also finds a correlation between corruption and states that spend more on roads and bridges than on health and education. Hmmm...

JASON BERRY STARTS A RECALL PETITION
JUN 12 Blogger Jason Berry started the ball rolling, even though he admits it probably won't be rolling anywhere. He's set up a petition to recall Gov. Bobby Jindal on the MoveOn.org website. it's simple and to the point: Jindal sold us out for his own political ends, and he needs to go.

"TERRIFYING" VIDEO OF GUIDE IN "ALLIGATOR-INFESTED" WATER
JUN 12 Maybe it's all about perspective, but this post on the UK Daily Mail comes across a little like an old lady with her unmentionables in a bunch. It's a story about an Oregon tourist's video of a swamp tour guide feeding alligators over in Jefferson Parish. Clearly, the guy has a relationship with these animals, as you can see him feeding one a marshmallow from his mouth. So there are no trained animals in England? Must be a dull place.

JUN 12 The Washington Times takes a look at Bobby Jindal's current efforts to find a place in the national spotlight in this piece. This time, he's hoping to get some traction by "fighting" Common Core, the Times tells us. Unfortunately for Bobby, in this short piece author Seth McLaughlin touches on the governor's lack of charisma, his disastrous response to the 2009 State of the Union, and his lack of any real action on Common Core.

BROWN TO GRADS: YOU'RE NOT ALL THAT
JUN 12 In this week's blog, Jim Brown is offering some words of reality to recent graduates: Get over yourself. You're not that special, you're not the future - yet. His advice? Read the Sermon on the Mount. Step away from the computer. Don't smoke. Keep music in your life. Forget vengeance. Keep learning.

JUN 12 Gambit posts this editorial about Gov. Jindal's decision to sign the bill aimed at killing the levee board's lawsuit against Big Oil. If the legal scholars are right and Jindal's buddies are wrong, the bill also might be sheilding BP specifically against claims related to the explosion and spill, the writers opine. If that's true, Jindal could "go down in infamy as the governor who sold out Louisiana for his own political gain." (Um - guys? That ship has sailed, hasn't it?)

CB: DING DONG THE HAWKS ARE DEAD
JUN 12 For the first four years of Bobby Jindal's career as governor, there was no fiscal responsibility, blogger CB Forgotston opines in this post. Then a glimmer of hope emerged: the self-styled "Fiscal Hawks." Unfortunately, the glimmer has disappeared, and the hawks are no more, CB says.
