ASWELL: MONEY'S TALKING! CAN YOU HEAR IT?
JUN 26 Blogger Tom Aswell breaks down the nuts and bolts (or dollars and cents, as the case may be) for us on several laws dealing with lawsuits that were passed during this year's session. There are some big bucks at stake here.

PULL A PALIN, BOBBY... PLEASE?
JUN 26 Blogger Jeff Crouere urges Gov. Bobby Jindal to follow in the footsteps of Sarah Palin and resign so he can run for President, already. Clearly, he's focused on the (so far non-existent) campaign, so why should we suffer? Crouere says the people of Louisiana deserve (and are paying for) a governor, not somebody who sees running our state as "a hobby."

BATON ROUGE THE POSTER CHILD FOR SEGREGATION
JUN 26 Baton Rouge, along with its troubled, segregated school system and the separatists who want to secede from the city, will figure prominently in a PBS documentary. This preview of the program, which airs next month, lets us know that this probably won't make any Baton Rouge tourism reels.

CB: JINDAL'S LYING OUT OF BOTH SIDES OF HIS MOUTH
JUN 26 Blogger CB Forgotston is taking issue with a Bobby Jindal press release that, as usual, really has no relation to reality. This time Jindal is claiming that he's reducing government by signing a bill that abolished a bunch of boards that didn't exist anyway, CB says. Bottom line? It cost you money to accomplish nothing, CB says.

IAN: NOPE ON THAT OXFORD COMMA
JUN 26 If you're a writer, this is probably a common discussion you have with your peers: to employ the Oxford comma, or not? Blogger Ian McGibboney comes down on the "not" side, and lays out his argument against a change in AP style in this post.

DREHER: NERDS WIN IN THE LONG RUN
JUN 26 Blogger Rod Dreher is talking about nerds in this post, and how a childhood marred by swirlies and wedgies generally means you end up as a more competent adult. More good news? The guys who are handing out the swirlies generally end up as incompetent adults. Yay!
