NYT: U.S. Chamber to back Landrieu

Is the conservative, pro-business U.S. Chamber of Commerce about to endorse Sen. Mary Landrieu's re-election bid? The New York Times says yes. It wouldn't be a first, however, as the Chamber has thrown money behind Landrieu before, according to Talking Points Memo.

Traditionally an ally to Republicans, the USCC has found itself in a strange place over the last few years as insurgent Tea Party purists in the GOP shun its corporate agenda, and snuggling up the Chamber has even become a liability in some conservative Republican districts.

Citing The Wall Street Journal, TPM reports that a "U.S. Chamber of Commerce scorecard said Landrieu votes for pro-business legislation more often than Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)."
