Lafayette's first-ever Whole Foods Market will open its doors in September.

According to a press release issued Thursday, the new 36,200-square-foot Whole Foods on the corner of Ambassador Caffery and Settlers Trace Boulevard is set to officially open its doors on Wednesday, Sep. 24.

"We are so excited to come to Lafayette and encourage people throughout the area to submit their applications online," says Whole General Manager and Louisiana native Johnny Veillon.

The store plans on hiring 150 team members, and applications (available here) will be accepted through Tuesday, Aug. 12.

According to Veillon, the store is all about locally-made products, and growers interested in seeing their products on the store's shelves are encouraged to email [email protected].
