Local 101 class Friday
A free program from Whole Foods for all Louisiana growers, food artisans and body care suppliers is slated for Friday for those interested in becoming a supplier for the store on Ambassador Caffery opening Sept. 24.
Local forager Kelly Landrieu will lead the class Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LEDA. The free program will cover in-depth information on Whole Foods Market's quality standards, food safety, retail-ready packaging, regulatory requirements and the process to become a supplier.
"Louisiana is known for its amazing food and culture, and Local 101 is a great way to understand necessary steps in becoming a supplier for Whole Foods Market," Landrieu says. "We're excited about the opportunity to showcase local products and flavors."
