LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A federal grand jury has charged a 56-year-old Lafayette man with income tax fraud for allegedly failing to report hundreds of thousands of dollars in income.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley says Donald Domingues was indicted Wednesday on one count each of tax evasion and filing a false tax return.
Finley says Domingues reported just over $259,000 in income for 2007, and paid nearly $65,000 in taxes.
She says Domingues failed to report a $351,000 sales commission he made that year, which would have upped his income to $610,725 and his tax liability to nearly $186,000.
It was unclear whether Domingues has an attorney.
