Be Afraid. Be very afraid

by Walter Pierce

Museum of Fear opens its 2014 season with more scares than ever before.

The Lafayette Science Museum doubles as a house of horrors once again in October as the Museum of Fear reopens to scare the living daylights out of those intrepid enough to walk its blood-curdling passageways.

Located on the third floor of the Downtown museum, MoF is jammed with frights real and imagined. Professional actors, foul aromas, fog, cobwebs, movie-quality set designs and animatronic ghouls await only the bravest. In fact, of the thousands who visited MoF last year, more than 200 were unable to make it all the way through.

The Museum of Fear is offering a special pre-season show from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 and is open every Friday and Saturday from 7-11. Admission is $10. Proceeds benefit the Lafayette Science Museum. Check it out on Facebook or go to the website here. For more info, call 291-5448.
