Village Cafe chef honored
The man behind the scenes was front and center Monday night at Village Cafe. Fans and friends toasted Lafayette chef, Jeremy Conner, at the River Ranch restaurant as one of six "Chefs to Watch" per Louisiana Cookin' magazine.
Restaurant devotees enjoyed wine and eats while Runaway Dish founder Katie Culbert spoke of Conner's generous spirit, willingness to bring some heart and a lot of hard work into his food and raw talent along with a serious affection for bringing locally gathered goods into his culinary work.
