The Louisiana Crossroads concert series wraps up its eighth season tonight with an all-star revue of blues, soul and R&B women at Grant Street Dancehall. Headliners include current Independent Weekly cover subject Barbara Lynn , whose 1962 debut single knocked Ray Charles off the top of the charts; at age 66, left-handed guitarslinger and soul singer Lynn is still going strong. She’s joined by blues guitar veteran Sue Foley and dobro master Cindy Cashdollar, along with the rock-solid rhythm section of bassist Sarah Brown and drummer Lisa Pankratz.
Showtime is 8 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door. To preorder tickets, call 233-7060 or visit www.louisianacrossroads.org.
