Another casualty of the LPSB: Angela Morrison

Angela Morrison joined the Lafayette Parish School System under former Superintendent Pat Cooper, and like Cooper, she too will now be leaving the system.

Morrison  — one of our Women Who Mean Business inductees in 2013 — served as a “point of entry” between the community and the school system, helping foster strategic partnerships and community collaborations, which was a major component of Cooper’s Turnaround Plan.

Morrison tells The IND that funding for her position will expire Dec. 31. Yet, Morrison has already landed on her feet, and starting in January, she’ll begin working with the Lafayette Schools Federal Credit Union as the business development officer.

“I wish the new leadership well, and my departing wish is that they continue to work toward the goals established by the Turnaround Plan,” says Morrison.

She will be missed.
