This Saturday, Vermilionville offers the community a chance to experience the simple warmth and beauty of Christmas past as its historic village brings to life the holiday traditions of yesteryear with its annual Old Time Christmas Family Day.

Guests are invited to take a self-guided tour through the renowned village and witness firsthand some of the Christmas and New Years traditions that were observed during the 1700s and 1800s such making santons ( or “little saints”), candles, soap, natural decorations, citrus pomanders and much more.

Children and families alike can meet Papa Noël, listen to stories, sing Christmas tunes and watch demonstrations of open hearth cooking and crafts. Enjoy food, music, caroling and much more.
