America's WETLAND keeps eye on the prizes

The American Wetland Campaign is looking for a few young writers - and photographers and artists. In its ongoing efforts to educate the public about Louisiana's vanishing wetlands, the organization is hosting an art, essay and photo contest geared for Louisiana's schoolchildren. The "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" competition encouarges students in grades 4-12 to submit original artwork, photos and essay on the importance of restoring Louisiana's coast. Nine winners will receieve $500. The deadline is May 15, and complete rules are available online.
