DIRTY BIRDS INVESTIGATED FOR BEING LAME
FEB 3 Oh, come on. This is even more pathetic than the ball boy going to the john claim: ESPN reports here that the Atlanta Falcons are being investigated for piping fake crowd noise into their stadium, trying to make it more difficult for opposing teams to have productive huddles. And also, trying to make it seem like they are less lame. LAME.

ROBIDEAUX: VOTE FOR ME, I KNOW FOOTBALL PLAYERS
FEB 3 Here's a link to a (stiff) Joel Robideaux YouTube video that (apparently) is an ad for his City-Parish President campaign. In it, he's standing in a TV studio talking (stiffly) to Kevin Faulk and Jake Delhomme. And in case you don't recognize their faces, there's a long shot of their director's chairs, with their names on them. Yikes.

THE 'SOPHISTICATED BIGOTRY' OF BOBBY JINDAL
FEB 3 The Atlantic takes a look at our fearless leader and his contradictory arguments about Christians and Muslims in this post. Bobby wants Christians to fight the "liberal elite" (like the people who went to Brown and Oxford, you mean?) and refuse to assimilate into American secular culture, but he thinks Muslims who do the same are "dangerous," Peter Beinart writes.

MOODY'S: LOUISIANA HAS 'STRUCTURAL DEFICIT'
FEB 3 Moody's is all that matters when you're talking about government bonds. The agency hands out ratings to governments that affect how much money one can raise with a bond sale. For years, Louisiana's "leaders" have been raiding fund balances and selling off property to balance the budget. Now, the Picayune reports here, Moody's says we have a budget with a "structural deficit" that will have trouble withstanding dropping oil prices. No kidding; and don't forget our colleges are about to have to file for bankruptcy.

TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL, STEPH
FEB 3 Lamar White's Scalise story catapulted David Duke back into the spotlight, and Duke is showing his true colors (so to speak) again, columnist Stephanie Grace writes here. She calls him a "petulant, resentful, racist, anti-Semitic, self-regarding and seriously thin-skinned low-life." Not bad, not bad.

A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE PRIMER
FEB 3 This post on the New York Times gives you a look at all the possible candidates for President, and what they're saying about whether or not they will run. There are a couple of definites, like Romney and Warren (boo!) and a whole buncha "I'm thinking about it." Too bad only the media cares about some of these yahoos.

BEAM: OUR BUDGET IS ALL SCREWED UP
FEB 3 Columnist Jim Beam is never afraid to state the obvious - and in this post he's talking about how bad our Governor and Legislature have screwed up our budget. It's so bad, he argues, they all ought to be charged with malfeasance.
Tuesday's Blogs from the Bog!
Forget deflate-gate, Atlanta is under investigation for being pathetic. Also today, the "sophisticated bigotry" of Bobby Jindal and Stephanie Grace thinks David Duke is kind of a weasel.
