Love on air

by Amanda Bedgood

Thank you, AOC. The local media center is allowing Lafayette residents to record a sweet message for a loved one, which will air on Valentine's Day.

Love in on the air. (That's right — on the air.) Thank you, AOC. The local media center is allowing Lafayette residents to record a sweet message for a loved one, which will air on Valentine's Day.

Anyone can drop by the AOC studios to record a message (dates and times listed below) in an effort dubbed "Broadcast Your Love" by the Acadiana Open Channel Community Media group. There is no cost and you don't have to be a member of AOC to participate. Residents can also submit their own messages via DVD for possible inclusion in the program.

The messages will air throughout the day Saturday, Feb. 14 on Cox COmmunications 15 and 16 as well as LUS Fiber 3 and 4.

For more information on how you can participate, contact Nancy Judice, AOC marketing director, at [email protected] or (337) 232-4434.

Dates and times to record a message at the studio in the Rosa Parks Transportation Center at 101 Jefferson St. Suite 100 are:

Monday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 4-6 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 11, 4-6 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
