Following its arrival in the Acadiana market last year with the opening of a River Ranch office, Jennings-based JD Bank — which came rolling into the area on a wave of momentum created by IberiaBank’s estimated $161 million buyout last year of Teche Federal — has already opened two new locations.
As previously featured in the July 2014 edition of ABiz, the bank’s arrival in Lafayette originally consisted of a small loan production office in River Ranch comprised of a five-member team of experienced lenders from Teche Federal who’d opted against joining IberiaBank after the merger.
The bank, according to an announcement issued Tuesday, has now added to its Acadiana operations with the opening earlier this month of two additional full-service branches, including a new Lafayette location along Verot School Road and another on North Lewis Street in New Iberia, which, coincidentally, is housed in what had been a Teche Federal only a year earlier.
JD Bank will hold open house events at the two new locations. The Lafayette event open house will be held at 300 Verot School Road from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10. The New Iberia event is scheduled for the same time on Tuesday, March 3, at 529 N. Lewis St.
