The annual Home, Garden and Lifestyle Show returns this weekend with over a hundred local exhibitors and loads of priceless information covering everything from the best and newest types of building materials, technologies and products to the hottest new design and decorating trends, as well as the latest in cooking, health and fitness.

The two-day event — presented each year by the Acadian Home Builders Association — will begin Saturday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will resume Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside the Cajundome Convention Center.

This year will also see the return of the second annual Courir Charite 5k, held in conjunction with the Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show as a fundraiser for local shelter-related organizations like Faith House, Healing House for Grieving Children, Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, PWB Building a Better Christmas and St. Michael’s Center for Veterans. The race will begin at the Cajundome on Saturday at 8:30 a.m., with the route taking runners through the Saint Streets and ultimately ending back at the Cajundome. All race participants will be treated to a complimentary ticket to the show and a free race T-shirt. For more information or to register go here.

Tickets for the Home, Garden and Lifestyle Show are $10 per adult and $6 for children ages 6-12, and can be purchased at the Cajundome Box Office.
