MAR 30 Last week, the National Art Education Association held its convention in NOLA, and on hand for the festivities was Project Runway's Tim Gunn. In this video on the Picayune's site, Gunn discusses costumes and couture. There's also some advice about judgment in there, too.

MAR 30 In this post, blogger Bob Mann says the LSU Board of Supervisors is loyal to Bobby Jindal, not LSU or its students, and needs to go. He advises our next governor (until we know the name, let's call them "poor suffering bastard") to immediately fire the lot of them, because all they care about is Bobby Jindal. It's not new for the board to be packed with political cronies, but the damage Jindal has done (while they stood silent) has been unprecedented, he says.

MAR 30 This post on BuzzFeed explores Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy and how much he enjoys making fun of Bobby Jindal's presidential aspirations. (Well, let's be honest. We all kind of like doing that, don't we? Until we forget what those aspirations have done to our state?) Malloy likes to crack wise about Jindal for sure, but he also likes poking at other GOP gasbags, and this story doesn't leave that out.

LATEST SALVO IN HUMANITIES MESS
MAR 30 Columnist James Gill tells us the latest in the ongoing feud between the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and its former director. Last year, the former director filed suit claiming he was wrongfully terminated. Recently, the LEH filed its own suit, claiming he had used his "fringe benefit" account to do something that the LEH rules say he could do. Huh?

MAR 30 Blogger Tom Aswell says Bobby Jindal's not governor, and hasn't been in a long time. Instead, he's become the "undisputed chief prevaricator in residence." Listen, for Louisiana, that's quite an accomplishment, but Tom says Bobby's pathological. It would be laughable - except the joke's on us, he says.

MAR 30 Columnist Clancy DuBos is writing about higher ed funding in this post. Well, more accurately, the lack thereof. After a couple of years of teetering on the edge of complete destruction, are the leaders of our universities ready to get real? Maybe, Clancy says - but is it too late?
Monday's Blogs from the Bog!
The Picayune has a video of Tim Gunn spouting wisdom and charm in NOLA. That's a nice way to start our Monday. Also today in La La Land, BuzzFeed looks at the hate-giggle relationship between Connecticut and Louisiana governors, and Bob Mann says LSU's board needs to step down.
