INJURED HOCKEY PLAYER STILL IN LAFAYETTE
APR 6 Here's a link to the Facebook page offering information on Ryan Raven, a player for the Peoria Rivermen seriously injured in a playoff game with the Louisiana IceGators in the Cajundome last week. He underwent surgery at a local hospital, and his family is here now with him, staying in a hotel. Anyone who would like to help can contribute to his gofundme campaign, or drop off donations (there's a list of needed things) at the Icegators office on Johnston Street.

ASWELL: LAW IS JUST LICENSE TO DISCRIMINATE, NOTHING ELSE

RAINMAKER, PAINMAKER, WHAT'S THE DIFF?
APR 6 Blogger CB Forgotston read a recent headline, "Fannin named LSU Rainmaker," and nearly spit out his morning java. Turns out the story wasn't about the Appropriations chief who has led the LSU bloodletting for the past several years but instead about his son, CB writes in this post. Whodathunkit.

POSSIBLE COMPLAINT PENDING VS. JINDAL FOR BEING COY
APR 6 Well, this would explain a lot. This post on the Advocate's politics blog tells of complaints filed against several GOP candidates we all know are running for president who won't admit they're running for president. The complaints have to do with campaign finance rules, which of course are much different for people who have declared than they are for people who haven't. It's possible Jindal's next. Could this be why he's delaying?

APR 6 This post on the Picayune site is a collection of images from the French Quarter's annual Easter Parade. If you've never been, it's kind of like Mardi Gras with big hats.
Monday's Blogs from the Bog!
Icegator fans come together to help an injured opponent, still in a Lafayette hospital. Also today in La La Land, Deshotels says Common Core opposition is growing and Aswell has a few words on the "it's legal to hate gay people" laws.
