Lane Mack tops iTunes

Lane Mack's self-titled album

Local singer-songwriter Lane Mack released his self-titled debut album this week, which is currently trending at the top of the iTunes Blues chart.

A life-long Lafayette native Lane McDonald, aka Lane Mack, is no stranger to the sprawling local music scene having shared the stage with national recording artists like Robert Randolph, Marc Broussard, Roddie Romero and Royal Teeth to co-founding the Cajun-Blues band Sons of VooDoo.

Now Lane Mack is stepping out on his own with the release of his debut album. The album leans heavy on Lane Mack’s blues guitar dexterity and vocal prowess while still dishing out some of his rock and roll virtuosity on tracks like “New Orleans Bound,” which features fellow singer-songwriter and former The Voice finalist Ray Boudreaux.

To listen his new album, visit iTunes, or to hear Lane Mack perform live check out his solo set as he opens for Surf Guitar Legend Dick Dale this Saturday at the Blue Moon Saloon where Lane Mack will have hard copies of the album available for purchase.
