ASWELL: JINDAL KEEPS TRIPPING OVER HIS OWN TONGUE
APR 20 Tom Aswell pens this guest post on Forward Now about Bobby Jindal's attempts to insert himself into the "let's make it legal to hate gay people" movement. Jindal's problem, Aswell opines, is that he wasn't smart enough to foresee the corner he has now painted himself into with his prose. It's an interesting argument.

APR 20 The Red Shtick has the satire piece on fraternities at LSU. Unfortunately, as with all good satire, it's based in reality. Is this really just about boys behaving badly? Or is there something else going on here?

APR 20 The Hill has the latest pandering message from Bobby Jindal, this one a rerun about "hyphenated Americans." One has to wonder if Bobby's truly espousing philosophy here, or simply giving vent to his own frustration with the media's refusal to stop pointing out that he's an Indian American. After all, he's been trying to shed that since he was a little kid who preferred Bobby to Piyush.

VOLUNTEERS CARING FOR DYING FORMER INMATE
APR 20 Democracy Now has the latest on Glenn Ford, the man who spent 30 years in a Louisiana prison for a murder he did not commit. The state is refusing to compensate him for that, and because he's terminally ill, he's relying on volunteers to help him. Not cool.

APR 20 James Carville must be tired of making the rounds of tv-talking-head land, because apparently he's trying out a new gig. This post on NOLA Defender says he recently shot a pilot for a TV court room "reality" show in which he serves as the judge. Um...K.

APR 20 Here's a cool story from the Advocate about the search for the graves of the first Acadians who settled Louisiana. Among them could be that of Beausoleil, the leader of the Acadians, guerilla warrior, and namesake for a damn cool band.
Monday's Blogs from the Bog!
Bobby has painted himself into a pandering corner, Aswell says. Also today in La La Land, some UL students are searching for Beausoleil and Carville's looking at a new gig.
