This morning, radio station WGSO of New Orleans is reporting that LSU is poised to introduce Stanford’s Trent Johnson as its next men’s basketball coach. Johnson compiled a 81-48 record in four seasons at Stanford with three NCAA tournament appearances, including this year’s trip to the Sweet 16. A California native, and graduate of Boise State, Johnson will become the first ever African-American head coach of LSU men’s basketball. Johnson replaces John Brady, who was fired by LSU in February.
