MAY 6 When Bobby Jindal's new "history" book comes out this summer, right after he "decides" whether or not he's going to run for president, Wonkette's staff will be sleeping outside the Barnes and Noble so they can get the first copy. Bazinga!

EX-PAT: LOUISIANA NEEDS TO WAKE UP
MAY 6 Brent Tippen, a Louisiana native now working in the SanFran Bay area, writes this column in the Huffington Post. It's clear this bright young man will probably never return to his home, for a number of reasons which all seem to lead to Bobby Jindal. Tippen, a Christian who happens to be gay, says he's ashamed of us for putting up with the man.

MAY 6 Gambit profiles Mike Stagg and his documentary about oil and gas severance taxes collected (or not collected, as the case may be) in Louisiana. CB: LEGES A PACK OF LILY-LIVERED, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS
MAY 6 Blogger CB Forgotston has a word for the members of the House Ways and Means committee: Cowards. In this post, he's complaining about the committee passing the buck (or lack of bucks) on to the House Floor because they didn't have the guts to take any action on any bill. He said he's never seen anything like it. No kidding.

IAN ON THAT MAMA BEATING HER SON AT THE RIOT
MAY 6 Blogger Ian McGibboney takes a look at the viral video of the mama who saw her son participating in the Baltimore riot and went out there to kick his hiney all the way home. Some people are saying she's some kind of hero for beating the crap out of her son. That's not good, he says. (But, hey, can we all admit this fight was much more interesting than that snooze-fest in Vegas last weekend?)
Wednesday's Blogs from the Bog!
Wonkette just LOVES our governor - they can't get enough of ole Bobby! Also today in La La, CB says our leges are a buncha cowards and Ian has something to say about the mama-son fight that was more entertaining than that thing in Vegas last weekend.
