ROLL CALL: YOU CAN'T DISMISS BOBBY
MAY 12 Here's yet another national political blog puzzling over Bobby Jindal. There's a conflict between what he looks like on paper and how he comes across in person, and this blogger, for Roll Call, can't seem to get a grip on it. (It's a complete lack of sincerity and charisma, dude) But for all his support of Bobby's potential, his prediction - that Bobby has to score at least 20 percent in primaries to survive - is clueless. The guy can't break above 5 percent in the polls. How is he going to get to double digits??

FAKE NEWS ON THE NFL AND SQUISHY FOOTBALLS
MAY 13 Blogger Ian McGibboney offers his "fake" news story on how the NFL is handling "de-flategate" and Tom Brady. In this satirical post, he's got the NFL revising its rules to allow nerf balls on the field - but only for Brady.

MAY 13 Here's the Huff Post story about Elbert Guillory's revisionist history. Yes, Elbert thinks that scientists burned Christians at the stake -- it was the other way around, obviously. What we're missing is an interview with Elbert about the Christian persecution during the Crusades, and how the plague killed all those poor European rats.

CLANCY STICKS UP FOR THE FILM CREDITS
MAY 13 Columnist Clancy DuBos makes the case for reform in re the Louisiana film tax credit program. Sure, it may be just a big pay-off party now, but let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater, he says.

HEY, NEVER MIND ALL THAT ABOUT THE BUDGET, THEN.
MAY 13 If you make your voting decisions based on what celebrities say, here you go: Willie Robertson tells Fox News that he wants Bobby Jindal to be president. Why? Well, he's a "godly man." Also, Willie says he's smart, and since Willie says he doesn't feel that he, himself, is so smart, he likes smart people. K.

DANG, YOU'RE THAT SCARED OF GAY PEOPLE?
MAY 13 This post from blogger Rod Dreher again contains comments about gay marriage (as usual, we wonder why he's so obsessed with homosexuality) but the main focus is the idea of Christians being "persecuted" because they're not allowed to enforce their ideas on everyone else around them, and the concept of withdrawal from general society in order to ensure you don't brush up against anyone who is different than you. You may not agree with what he's talking about, but it is certainly a fascinating read.
Wednesday's Blogs from the Bog!
Roll Call says you can't dismiss Bobby, because he looks so good on paper! Also today, Ian's writing about the NFL and soggy footballs, and Rod's writing about gay people. Again.
