Inclement weather moves Horse Farm concert Downtown

Inaugural performance of the Horse Farm's free concert series, featuring The Suffers, launches this afternoon at Parc International.

The Suffers perform this afternoon for the Levitt AMP Lafayette Music Series

This evening marks the inaugural performance of the free Levitt AMP Lafayette Music Series featuring the Houston-based American Soul band The Suffers. Unfortunately, heavy rain has forced the new series, launched by Lafayette Central Park, to debut at Downtown's Parc International instead of the Johnston Street Horse Farm property.

But rest assured, aside from the change of venue, virtually everything else for tonight’s family-friendly concert is the same. Music will begin at 6:30 p.m., and food trucks and beverage vendors will still be on hand so no ice chests please. (Also, despite the soggy grounds, the midweek Farmers and Artisans Market will still operate from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Horse Farm.)

The Suffers are a 10-piece band from Houston, Texas, who are redefining the sound of Gulf Coast soul, intertwining elements of classic American soul with rock 'n' roll.

The Levitt AMP Lafayette Music Series continues Wednesday, June 3, with Bonerama and will return to its rightful place at the Horse Farm, weather permitting. For more information, including a full roster of performances coming to the Horse Farm this summer, visit www.lafayettecentralpark.org.
