Local improv comedy troupe Silverbacks will present Lafayette Famous, which features a mix of improvisation and storytelling. The show’s format presents a local celebrity who prepares three true stories from their life. The improvisers then create scenes based on themes from the stories, bringing performers and audience alike on a humorous journey. On Saturday, June 13, the Silverbacks will spotlight bicycling advocate and all-around Renaissance woman Dr. Monique Koll.

Koll is a South Louisiana veterinarian, mother, triathlete, professional speaker, realtor, and active transportation advocate. Koll has also just authored the brand new book Determinational. After being hit on her bicycle by an unlicensed driver, which left her partially paralyzed, she has become nationally recognized for her passion for racing and her advocacy work for vulnerable road users.

Silverbacks Improv Theatre presents Lafayette Famous with Dr. Monique Koll on Saturday, June 13, starting at 8 p.m., at Cite Des Arts, located at 109 Vine St., in Downtown Lafayette. Tickets are $5.

Tickets and reservations can be made by calling (337) 291-1122. For more information on the Silverbacks and their upcoming performances visit www.silverbacksimprov.com.
