A 43-year-old Scott police officer has been arrested after he allegedly charged more than $3,500 in personal expenses to a department-issued fuel card.

SCOTT, La. (AP) — A 43-year-old Scott police officer has been arrested after he allegedly charged more than $3,500 in personal expenses to a department-issued fuel card.

Multiple news outlets report Larry Williams was booked Wednesday with malfeasance and felony unauthorized use of an access card.Investigators say police became suspicious of Williams in early June after noticing he was using his fuel card more than normal.

He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and released on a $10,000 bond.Online jail records do not list an attorney for Williams.
