THE GENERAL SAYS WE'RE IN DENIAL ABOUT GUNS
JUL 29 Here's an interview in Gannett with Gen. Russel Honore about guns and Americans. He's lived all over the world, and repeats what everybody else on the planet knows, but we refuse to accept: gun violence is a uniquely American problem, and one of our own creation.

MEDIA MATTERS ON THE NYT'S FAILURE
JUL 29 Media Matters takes a look at the recent sorry excuse for an article published by the New York Times in which Bobby Jindal is quoted as saying the rest of the nation needs to follow Louisiana's lead in strict gun laws. (That's right, you read that correctly, he said that, you're not having a stroke.)
