Blues rocker Jimmie Vaughan and his band will be a high-water mark for this fall’s Downtown Alive! concert series, which also features plenty of household names in Acadiana roots music.
The series, held on Fridays at Parc Sans Souci, commences on Sept. 11 with Steve Riley, Sweet Cecilia and Eric Adcock. Several of the fall concerts will have accompanying themes.

Downtown Alive! concerts are free. Concession sales, which help fund the series, begin at 5:30 p.m.; music is from 6-8:30 p.m. Please leave ice chests, pets and vulgar political opinions at home.
