Missy Paschke-Wood has resigned as executive director of Festival International de Louisiane effective Monday. Paschke-Wood held the top post for less than two years. The festival board is planning a Tuesday press conference to announce her departure. No reason for Paschke-Wood’s sudden exit was given by the board.

“I’m very proud of the work we’ve done together over the past two years and am grateful to have been a part of Acadiana’s crown jewel,” Paschke-Wood says in a press release announcing her departure. “I look forward to joining my many Festival friends in the audience at the 30th anniversary in 2016.”

A native of Texas with a background in music and theater, Paschke-Wood previously served as the marketing and development director at Yavapai Humane Society in Prescott, Ariz. as well as the marketing manager for a theater company.

Added Scott Feehan, the current board president: “We are very grateful to Missy for her hard work and guidance. She was instrumental in finding and implementing our new volunteer system, our donor software and countless other improvements to our day to day functions. While we will miss her, we certainly wish her the very best in her future endeavors.”
