Zydeco Radio

ZYDECO RADIO + STRAHAN & THE GOOD NEIGHBORS

Friday, Sept. 11

Blue Moon Saloon

Doors: 9:00 p.m.

To put it simply, Strahan and the Good Neighbors are an American Band or if you're into the whole sub-genre thing, then call it American Old School. It's funky but it isn't funk; there's country, soul, and blues in there, but it isn't any of these; it's American, but it's not Americana. Like their favorite bands from the 60's and 70's, they are steeped in old school American music, but evolved into something all it's own.

Zydeco Radio is a hard hitting zydeco band cooked up right here in Lafayette, LA and served to you hot. It is the culmination of ideas and a collaboration of styles from several musicians from varied backgrounds. Yet, they all have one thing in common..love for getting people out on the dance floor.

The New Form

THE NEW FORM + SARI

Saturday, Sept. 12

Blue Moon Saloon

Doors: 9:30 p.m.

Former Hot Llamas band member Daniel teamed up with Matt from the band Della to create new music. After the recruitment of fellow band members Ryan and Nick, Sari was born unto the world like a ripe child, plucked from the vine of friendship.

The New Form combines the use of classic rock and roll instrumentation with a modern take on song structure and dynamics.

Professor Phineas Sinclair's Medicine Show

PROFESSOR PHINEAS SINCLAIR'S MEDICINE SHOW'S SEPTEMBER "LA VIE EN ROSE" EDITION

Saturday, Sept. 12

Feed & Seed

Doors: 9:00 p.m.

Feed & Seed presents the third monthly performance of Professor Phineas Sinclair's Medicine Show, where anything goes. Don't miss this variety show at Feed N Seed Lafayette to coincide with Downtown Lafayette's 2nd Saturday Artwalk. Directed and hosted by "Professor Phineas Sinclair," the series is a collection of original performances by local artists' interpretation of the monthly theme. Prepare your eyes and ears as September's showcase theme is "La Vie En Rose." The title can be translated as "Life in Rosy Hues" or "Life Through Rose-Colored Glasses," but its literal meaning is "Life in Pink." Expect to be shocked, happy and sad, but always thoroughly entertained.
