SEP 16 This (ca-razy) post on CNN by Bobby Jindal pretty much sums up Jindal's failure to crack 2 percent in the presidential polls. It's an (alleged) attack on front runner Donald Trump that tries to call attention to Jindal's attributes and poke fun at his rival, all at the same time. But it doesn't do either, because Jindal is possibly the most socially awkward politician Louisiana has ever produced. This problem is compounded by his inability to see said awkwardness, resulting in a propensity to surround himself with people who don't have a clue, either. (Here's a tip, Bobby: try listening to someone who's not in the choir. That might help.)

SEP 16 Right Wing Watch posts this analysis of a recent interview of Bobby Jindal by Tony Perkins (really, and it's not the Onion) in which Jindal espoused the idea that "the gays" are pushing an attack on Christians. Let's put aside, for the moment, the fact that many of "the gays" are Christian, just as many of "the straights" are. How are "the gays" doing this? Are they having (fabulous, one assumes) meetings somewhere?

LA TIMES ON LOUISIANA'S DISHONEST AND ABSURD ATTACK ON PP
SEP 16 This post on the Los Angeles Times looks at why Louisiana turned out to be ground zero of the attack on Planned Parenthood. It's especially absurd since Louisiana is the poster child for a state that needs MORE of what Planned Parenthood offers. No kidding!

CB: SECOND VERSE, SAME AS THE FIRST
SEP 16 Blogger CB Forgotston bemoans the number of legislators returned to office without challenge this election season. A large number, in particular, of term-limited leges got a free ride for their last term and that's never a good thing, he adds.

DREHER ON POLITICS, HOME RULE CHARTERS AND POETRY
SEP 16 This is an interesting post by blogger Rod Dreher, who writes of an ongoing controversy in his home parish surrounding the conversion of the government from the police jury system to a home rule charter structure. The controversy is related to districting and other issues, and he's got a fascinating angle of discussion going here.
Wednesday's Blogs from the Bog!
Bobby Jindal is trying to make sure nobody misses his massive social awkwardness. Yikes. Also today, CB on incumbents skating to re-election and another Drinking Culture post.
