LSU, Alabama set for p.m. kickoff on CBS

by The Associated Press

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The top-10 showdown between LSU and Alabama on Nov. 7 will kick off at 7 p.m. on CBS.

The No. 4 Tigers and the No. 7 Crimson Tide meet in an SEC West showdown with the divisional lead and, possibly, a College Football Playoff spot on the line. LSU is trying to end a four-game losing skid to Nick Saban and Bama - one that started with that 21-0 loss in the 2011 national championship game.

The two teams are off this week, but they're assured of meeting as top-10 opponents for a sixth time in the last eight games. For a fifth straight year, the game will air in CBS' nighttime doubleheader slot. The network will air Arkansas at Ole Miss in the day game at 2:30.
