Downtown Alive! is joining the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association to bring two Lafayette traditions together with a Cajun twist. On Friday, Oct. 30 Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band will celebrate UL’s homecoming with the Ragin’ Cajuns football team, coach Mark Hudspeth and cheerleaders. Keith Frank has been described as having Zydeco flowing through his veins, and you’ll think you have it too, when you experience his electric performance. In an extra special twist, DTA! and the Downtown Restaurant and Bar Association are teaming up to offer theme nights at DTA! and in Downtown bars and restaurants after DTA! Come dressed in your most spirited UL gear to paint Downtown red. The music starts at 6:00PM, but make sure to get there early to cheer on the team while enjoying concessions.
