Cookie enthusiast Jennifer Sosa Vidrine has just started a business, Cookie Caravan, where she delivers cookies right out of the oven and straight to your door.
“I used to live in Austin and they have something similar there,” says Vidrine, a native of Opelousas. “And so when I moved back home I thought it would be an awesome concept here because we didn’t have anything like it.”
Lafayette's first warm cookie delivery serves Lafayette, Broussard and Youngsville and features several classic cookie flavors, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate chip, sugar, M&M, white chocolate macadamia, snickerdoodle, oatmeal raisin and oatmeal chocolate chip.
Cookie orders are sold by the dozen and also include the option to include a whole pint of milk to wash them down with.
“I do have a few clients that send cookies to their clients and that’s kind of my main goal is to do more business to business,” says Vidrine of her client base. “And then kind of a secondary target would just be like birthdays and people sending cookies to their spouses or friends and workplaces and things like that.”
