Young Jesus is a five-piece indie rock band based out of Los Angeles via Chicago. Young Jesus echoes Nick Cave, The Hold Steady, Ian Curtis, Brand New, Built to Spill, and Dinosaur Jr.. With Home, Young Jesus examined the lives of David and Eloise, two addicts/dropouts trying to sort out the immediacies and emotions of being young. Written amidst the band’s own issues of substance abuse and failure and illness, the grungy/folky/indie album reads like a troubled friend’s diary.

The Independent Comedy Series presents Brooks Wheelan at Nitetown. Brooks originally hails from Iowa where he attended the University of Iowa. Most recently he appeared in season four of HBO’s Girls. He was a writer and cast member on Season 39 of NBC’s Saturday Night Live. In 2013, he made his stand up television debut on Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party and TBS’s Conan, and in 2012, he was invited to perform at the New York Comedy Festival as a part of Comedy Central’s Top 10 Comics to Watch, and was a breakout performer as a new face at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal as well as the Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival.

Join Blue Moon Saloon to Give a Coat and Warm a Heart at the TWO-STEPPIN’ COAT DRIVE. In partnership with the Opelousas Lighthouse Mission, they are collecting coats for the homeless and needy of Acadiana to help give warmth for the upcoming winter.
