BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal is back in Louisiana after ending his run for the Republican presidential nomination, saying he has no regrets for the effort and takes full blame for its failure.

Jindal said at the governor's mansion Wednesday that he doesn't believe his low approval ratings in Louisiana or the state's continued financial problems damaged his White House bid.

Instead, he said he offered detailed policy platforms in a year when voters were looking for something more "exciting."

And while he wouldn't endorse a preferred candidate for the GOP nomination, the governor said he was certain of one thing about the competition: "Donald Trump's not going to be our nominee."

Jindal, who is term-limited, says he will do a statewide tour to highlight his achievements before leaving office in January.
