Downtown Alive! is hosting its annual holiday tradition on Thanksgiving Eve with live music, gumbo, s’mores, a toy drive and the lighting of the Christmas Tree on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Parc Sans Souci will be decked with holiday cheer and plenty of Christmas lights hung throughout the parc with the Pine Leaf Boys performing and outgoing Parish-President Joey Durel will light the official city Christmas tree while everyone enjoys gumbo from IBERIABANK and helps the Toys for Tots Toy Drive. All the kids, big and small, can also keep warm fireside while they enjoy hot chocolate and s’mores.

On this very special night, DTA! and the Downtown Restaurant and Bar Association are also teaming up to bring a Santa Pub Crawl to Downtown Lafayette. Come dressed as Santa or one of his elves and join in on the fun. Meet at DTA! and follow the crowd of Santas on a holiday-themed pub crawl through Downtown.

The Holiday Edition of DTA! begins at 5:30 p.m. at Parc Sans Souci in Downtown Lafayette with food and beverage concessions and musical performances from 6 - 8:30 p.m. DTAI is free, but concession sales help keep it that way, so guests are asked to leave their ice chests at home with pets. For more information, visit DowntownLafayette.org or find the event on Facebook.
