Lafayette Concert Band presents ’Holiday Traditions’

The Lafayette Concert Band kicks off the holiday concert season this weekend when it presents “Christmas Traditions” this Sunday.

The Lafayette Concert Band kicks off the holiday concert season this weekend when it presents “Christmas Traditions” this Sunday.

Under the direction of Gerald Guilbeaux, this holiday concert features vocalist Paul Sahuc singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” along with narrating a special arrangement by Randol Bass of “The Night Before Christmas.”

Other selections will include “And The Mountains Echoed: Gloria,” “C’est Noel,” “Santa’s Journey” and a band favorite “A Cowboy Christmas.” Long time friend of Lafayette Concert Band, Santa Claus, will visit the audience during the final selection, “Sleigh Ride.” This concert is the final presentation in the 2015 Season.

The “Christmas Traditions” concert begins at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Bayou Church, located at 2234 Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette.
