Blanco, 6 others named to board overseeing Superdome

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Former Gov. Kathleen Blanco and six others have been named to replace the entire board that oversees the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Gov. John Bel Edwards' office late Wednesday announced the appointments to the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District. Other facilities under the board's supervision include the John A. Alario Sr. Event Center in Westwego, the New Orleans Arena, New Orleans Saints Training Facility, TPC Louisiana golf course in Avondale and Zephyr Field.

Also appointed are: Kyle France, of Covington, president of Kehoe-France Inc.; Henry Baptiste, of Baton Rouge, president of Joe & Henry's Fried Chicken, Inc.; attorney Hilary Landry, of Metairie; Renee Lapayrolerie, of New Orleans, former executive director of the Louisiana Democratic Party; Bossier City businessman Gregory Morrison and Covington insurance agent Casey Robin.
