BBR Creative is hosting its 2nd Annual Hygiene for Humanity Donation Drive to benefit area's homeless.

BBR Creative is hosting its 2nd Annual Hygiene for Humanity Donation Drive through April 15 to collect toiletries and other supplies for the Stella Maris Center.

A program of Catholic Services of Acadiana, Stella Maris is a hygiene facility that provides a place for individuals who are homeless to take a shower, use the restroom, wash their clothes, and take care of other basic hygiene needs. Through partnerships with other local organizations, Stella Maris Center connects individuals with additional resources to assist them, as they find a way to regain housing. Named after Our Lady Star of the Sea, Stella Maris Center is a safe harbor from the storms of the world.

BBR will be collecting various items including hotel-sized toiletries like soap and shampoo; toothpaste and toothbrushes; deodorant; disposable razors and shaving cream; lotion; feminine hygiene products; new socks, men’s underwear and plain white undershirts; bug spray; sunscreen; chapstick; reuseable water bottles (with clips if possible); powdered laundry detergent; liquid bleach; liquid body wash; large bottles of shampoo; paper towels; and new towels and washcloths.

Those who have items to donate are encouraged to drop them off at the BBR Creative office, located at 300 Rue Beauregard, Bldg I, at the Whole Foods Market in Lafayette or by calling BBR at 337-233-1515 to arrange a pick-up.
